After inserting the PDF, music, or video files into SongBook, they appear as "Unused Files".
PDF files in the "Unused Files" section can be opened and viewed, but for more functionality, you must create songs from them, as described below.
With the following steps, you can add these files to the song list and provide additional information such as title, artist, genre, and MP3 file for background playback.
If you have copied many new files into SongBook+ and do not want to manually insert them into the song list individually, SongBook+ can also automatically insert them into the song list.
The file name will then be used as the title. All other fields remain empty and can be edited later.
Press "Edit".
Press the "+" sign next to an unused file.
Change the title if necessary. (The file name will be used as a suggestion.)
If you have numbered your songs, enter your numbers here.
Here you can enter a short additional information, which will be displayed, for example, in the preview of this song.
Enter the artist and genres or select existing ones with "..." from the list.
If you want to play one or more audio files and/or a MIDI or video file, select them here.
Press "Save".
Add another song with the "+" sign or press "Done" to finish.
Press here to start the process (symbol with rectangle and arrow). After a confirmation prompt, song entries will be created from all unused files.
After the process, the song list will be sorted by date, so that the recently inserted songs appear at the top and you can see them.
Afterward, you can of course switch back to your preferred sorting.
