# iPad mit MIDI verbinden

Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten, das iPad mit MIDI zu verbinden.

## Ältere iPad an Geräte mit USB-Midi-Anschluss <a href="#toc165549799" id="toc165549799"></a>

Viele iPad-Modelle haben noch keinen USB-C Anschluss, sondern einen Lightning oder sogar einen 32-Pin Anschluss.

Viele Midi-Adapter und manche Geräte (Keyboards, etc.) haben einen USB-Anschluss für Midi.

Weil die älteren iPad-Modelle von Haus aus keinen USB-Anschluss haben, braucht es dazu einen Adapter, der das iPad um einen USB-Anschluss erweitert. Apple nennt diesen Adapter „iPad Camera Connection Kit“.

Daran können dann USB-Midi-Adapter und USB-Midi-Geräte angeschlossen werden, sofern sie mit Apple kompatibel sind.

## Neuere iPad an Geräte mit USB.Midi-Anschluss

Neuere iPad-Modelle haben statt dem Lightning Anschluss einen USB-C Anschluss.

Deshalb ist es dafür nicht mehr nötig, das iPaf mittels Adapter mit einem USB-Anschluss zu erweitern.

Mit einem passenden Kabel mit USB-C Anschluss kann man dann das iPad direkt mit dem Gerät verbinden.

## Midi-Adapter, die direkt am iPad angeschlossen werden <a href="#toc165549800" id="toc165549800"></a>

Einige Midi-Adapter lassen sich direkt ohne Adapter mit älteren iPad verbinden.

Es sind dies beispielsweise:

* iConnectMIDI2+ von iConnectivity
* iRig MIDI Version 1+2 von IK Multimedia
* ioDock von Alesis
* iStudio is202 von Behringer
* ...

Mit diesen kann das iPad teilweise im Midi-Betrieb auch mit Strom versorgt werden (Alle oben aufgeführten ausser iRig MIDI Version 2).

Es gibt auch ein paar einfache, kleine Midi-Tastaturen, die direkt ans iPad angeschlossen werden können.

## Drahtlos über Bluetooth oder WLAN <a href="#toc165549801" id="toc165549801"></a>

Es gibt auch drahtlose Midi-Adapter, welche über Funk per Bluetooth (Bluetooth MIDI LE) oder WLAN mit dem iPad verbunden werden können.
